Below is a description of the chakra system and its associated color ray and uses:
The chakras are wheels of energy that surround the physical body, yet are not physical. They spin and should be open and clear, yet they become closed and clogged due to negative thoughts and beliefs. The following is some of the information I received during a 7 week intensive course in Light. You may want to use this information to assist you in balancing your energy system.

1st Chakra – Red Ray -
“The Light of Healing, Divine Love and Letting Go to Life”
The first chakra is located at the base of the spine in males and between the ovaries in females. It is the only chakra that is located differently like this.
This chakra is associated with healing and communication in relationship to all life. It brings clearing and raises the vibrations of all levels of self. The red ray dissipates negative thought forms and lower frequencies with one’s energy field. It can be used to revitalize and cleanse the circulatory system. The red ray will bring awareness as it purges.
The red ray releases and dissipates lower vibrational thought forms from the physical body. It works to release negative emotions in interpersonal relationships resulting from the reactions of hate, rage, bitterness, rejection, disillusionment, disappointment, hurts, pain, etc. It brings forth a wonderful feeling of Divine Love.
You can use this light to cleanse and heal muscular and/or skeletal systems and any disease or injury especially pertaining to these areas.

2nd Chakra – Orange Ray –
“The Light of Perception and Sensitivity”
Located midway between the red (base) chakra and the yellow (2nd solar plexus) chakra.
Orange is called the perceptual ray because it activates the perceptual body. It is the ruler of the feminine aspect of the physical body chakras (1st, 2nd, 3rd). It broadens the mind to be open to new ideas through perception and sensitivity. It helps supply energy to the physical body and completes the balance to the nervous system by affecting the motor system. It is a powerful ray to draw upon for the energy to cope with daily activities.
The orange ray dissipates thought forms of anxiety and tension, and brings about balance and coordination to the motor system. It revitalizes the circulatory system and strengthens the spleen, lungs, kidneys and pancreas. Disease energies that can be brought into balance and healing are asthma, bronchitis, colds, acne, epilepsy and infections, including anything in the digestive system. You can use the violet/purple ray to tone down the effects of too much orange.

3rd Chakra – yellow/gold ray –
“The Cosmic Father Aspect”, “Dynamic Power Ray”
Located at the solar plexus region (center, just below the rib cage)
The 3rd Chakra governs the left side of the brain and is associated with the male aspect of your being. This light not only helps you to change your mental thoughts through its transmuting ability, but it also can buffer the negative energies that you may absorb from others.
The mental body is the product of your conscious mind and the thought patterns you generate through it. The mental body is also the generator in your life, because as we take in our perceptions of the world, we apply thought to them. In using the yellow/gold ray, we purge our habitual patterns that are destructive and begin to fill ourselves with the positive creative aspect of this light. We can use this light to transmute and change anger into peace, and disgust into that which brings joy and harmony.
The 3rd chakra solar plexus center is the most critical of all for the vitality of the chakra centers because it acts as an assimilator of energies to the other chakras. This center is the most vulnerable to picking up other people’s energy and should be cleansed regularly.
The yellow/gold ray acts directly on the digestive system. It cleanses poisons stored in the liver and intestinal tract and purifies the entire system. It can bring a balance within the neurons of the brain so the nervous system can be in alignment, and therefore, allows the mental processes to flow more freely.

4th Chakra – emerald green ray –
“Balance, Creativity, and Prosperity”
Located in the heart area, the midway point.
Green is the color of growth. It gives the energy that creates all aspects of the personal self. It is also restorative in nature and has a soothing quality. We sense this when we feel peaceful and tranquil. The emerald green is absorbed by the heart chakra and controls the cardiovascular center. It influences the blood pressure and heart organ itself and is associated with the nerves. It can be used to alleviate headaches and flu. It can neutralize disharmony within the cellular structure. It relieves tension and stimulates the thymus gland.
This light gives enlightened awareness to all levels of your multi-dimensional self. This is the color ray that teaches us how to hold ourselves in the world, through the heart. When you live through the heart center, you are in touch with love, affinity and compassion. This 4th chakra is the chakra of ONEness and true self-love.

5the Chakra – blue ray –
“Faith, Wisdom and Truth”
Located in the throat area at the base of the larynx.
The blue wisdom ray is the frequency that brings into your human awareness the three concepts of faith, wisdom and truth and frees the mental and emotional bodies from FEAR. This blue ray is a cool ray, but its fiery aspect feels like hot ice. It uplifts any areas within you that deal with self-expression, especially verbal expression; how you communicate with yourself, your world, etc.
This color slows things down so that it can heal any infections, as opposed to the red ray, which accelerates and is hot. Blue acts like an antiseptic, cooling and astringent. It brings balance to all systems, organs, cells and tissues. It can release and dissipate all debris accumulated from reactions which occur because of past fears and doubts. This ray can heal and alleviate throat problems; mumps, strep throat, lymphatic system disorders, etc. It can assist in healing burns and cuts.
The blue ray can also bring peace of mind and can become very relaxing. This is the chakra of verbal communication and if you have something to say and you’re not saying it, you will experience tightness in the throat, laryngitis, hoarseness, etc. Use the blue ray for relief.

6th Chakra – Indigo Blue Ray –

Located on the forehead area, between the brows; often called the Third Eye.
This ray rules the head, the abilities of sight and sound. It has an affect of an anesthetic. The Indigo ray is cooling, astringent, and electric since it combines with red. It reduces bleeding and also affects the emotional and spiritual levels. One can rid of obsessions with it. It can help correct any disharmony/dysfunction with the eyes, ears, and throat. It can help clear energy imbalances in the lungs, asthma and dyspepsia.
The indigo blue ray rules “clear seeing” such as auras, spirit, etc. A clogged 6th chakra can result in a headache. This chakra is also associated with “mental telepathy”, where thoughts are given and received without the need for verbal communication.

It inverts ill-will and helps uplift your mind and outer personality to bring greater strength to you as well as those you touch in thought and action.
The ego doesn’t like this frequency at all. It can become explosive, so be aware and alert while activating the violet ray. This ray should lift any heaviness you feel, bringing lots of humor and lightness.
The Violet/Purple ray works specifically to eliminate those heavier vibrations that have accumulated from reactions to anger, revenge, etc.; either yours or that which is projected to you by others. This is the highest vibration of all the energy centers, since it opens your gateway to God. Also, it can help the energy imbalances of rheumatism, concussions, tumors, spinal meningitis, kidney and bladder. It can help maintain the potassium balance in the body.
When the 7th chakra is open and flowing properly, pure intuition is present. This ray is from the clearest aspect of the self, the higher self – that God-essence which contains all of you.
